Elementary School was designed with a fiber optic backbone transporting
data at 100 Megabits/sec throughout the campus. This connectivity will
provide access to student computer labs through the campus. Internet
connectivity will be provided for distance learning and student
research. The newly designed network was integrated with an existing
Novell network for administrative purposes for the faculty.
2. In addition to
the services mentioned above, Information Technology Solutions’
provides on-site maintenance and network restoration for Ridgeview
Elementary School. By doing so, Ridgeview Elementary School takes
advantage of one of the latest computer technology, Remote Network
Management. This affords the school with all the benefits of a full time
network management staff without the need and cost of a full time system
administrator on premises.
3. By purchasing "Block
of Hours", Ridgeview Elementary can utilize the Remote Network
Management Service from Information Technology Solutions for network
assistance, administration, and troubleshooting. This equates to
substantial savings in allocated dollars for personnel, training, and
equipment.
